Sound

The Sound Archive's collection represents a cross-section of recorded experiences from the Boer War through the First and Second World Wars to more recent conflicts and the present day.

These oral history interviews form the core of the collection but the Archive also holds a number of recordings of speeches, war reports and broadcasts, music, poetry and sound effects.
